I have my laptop webcam LED fire up just fine..., indicating an application is using it. But Ekiga's video preview doesn't show anything. And the 'Call Window' File and Call menu options are all greyed out.. Thoughts ? Ekiga 'detect device' lists it as 'USB 2.0 HD UVC WebCam (PTLIB/DirectShow)'.. and does detect it.. _______________________________________________ ekiga-list mailing list [hidden email] https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/ekiga-list |

Could you send us the -d 4 log when starting ekiga and trying to show the camera images? Does other application use the camera in the same time? > And the 'Call Window' File and Call menu options are all greyed out.. I do not understand. Hi,
You mention two problems. One is you do not see your camera, cf. your log: 2016/02/29 22:44:47.421 0:16.221 GMVideoOut...ager:13672 DirectX no Overlay Capabilities The only advice I have is to look at https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=626515#c44 (comment 44) to see if it helps. The other is you have a greyed menu. This is normal, since no one is calling you (Pick up), and you are not in communication phase (Hangup, Hold Call etc.) Sorry for being in late, Eugen On 12/03/16 14:44, Michael Gioia wrote: > stderr.txt > https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/10743904/ekiga-stderr.txt > > The greyed out menu's.. if it helps. > http://imgur.com/RmWqGRY > > Regards, > > Michael Gioia > ------ > (Mobile) +61 422 071 621 > (E-mail) [hidden email] > > On Mon, Feb 29, 2016 at 9:13 PM, Eugen Dedu <[hidden email]> >> wrote: >> >>> On 28/02/16 14:43, Michael Gioia wrote: >>> >>>> I have my laptop webcam LED fire up just fine..., indicating an >>>> application >>>> is using it. >>>> But Ekiga's video preview doesn't show anything. >>>> >>> >>> Could you send us the -d 4 log when starting ekiga and trying to show the >>> camera images? >>> >>> Does other application use the camera in the same time? >>> >>> And the 'Call Window' File and Call menu options are all greyed out.. >>>> >>> >>> I do not understand.
